Ashokan is embarking on a long-term endeavor to help our forest regenerate and flourish. Step one is address our dead and dying trees that have been infested by several invasive species: the Emerald Ash Borer, the Southern Pine Beetle, and the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid. Every year at this time, we will be working outward from our campus to remove those trees that are a danger to our buildings. This selected culling will provide the remaining trees more sun and open space to thrive.
