With music, dancing, food, film, art and nature activities for all ages, he 4th Annual Winter Hoot welcomes the community, one and all, for a spirit-raising good time in mid-winter! Hear world-class musical acts from our Hudson Valley region and beyond, like Ana Egge, Jeffrey Lewis, Bill Harley, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, The Mike + Ruthy Band, Elizabeth Mitchell, Gustafer Yellowgold, and more. Come for a few hours or the whole weekend – tickets are pay what you can. Indoor lodging is available in the comfortable Longhouse and Red Maple Lodge rooms. We need volunteers to help with parking, door, kitchen, EMT and more – please volunteer and help the hoot!
Proceeds from the Hoots support The Ashokan Center’s outdoor environmental education programs, facility improvements, and ongoing community outreach. For the Winter Hoot 2016, The Ashokan Center has set a goal of $20,000 to restore the Pewter Shop and preserve its renowned acoustics.
